About Groomingdales

Groomingdales first opened its doors on 15th November 2002, now 7 years later and with 10,000 dogs through the doors we are still going strong. Our first base in Townfield Close was slightly too big so in September 2005 we packed up and moved to our new location in Greasby, a smaller salon but still with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere.

Groomingdales is run by daughter and mother team Sarah and Brigitte Hodgson.

About Sarah:

Sarah is 27 years old and opened Groomingdales in 2002 when she was just 19! After leaving school Sarah attended Sixth Form College before starting training as a veterinary nurse, however after 5 months she decided this was not the right career for her. At eighteen years old and unsure where to go from there she decided to pursue something she had tried in the past and enrolled on a professional dog grooming course. Thus Groomingdales was formed.

Sarah is now a qualified Puppy School Tutor and runs P.A.D.S (Puppy and Dog School) Classes are held twice weekly. Visit www.puppyschoolwirral.co.uk for more information or click here

As well as being a qualified dog groomer, Sarah has certificates in canine nutrition and has completed courses in animal training and behaviour. She would we happy to answer any of your dog related questions.

Sarah is currently owned by Marley the Black Labrador, Puds the Border Collie, Jessica the Border Collie, Sam the Shih Tzu, Millie, Sophie, Abby, Jasmine and Arthur the cats, Bailey the rabbit, 13 guinea pigs, Pip the canary and far too many fish to mention.

About Brigitte:

When Groomingdales was first opened Brigitte was only supposed to help out for the first few weeks to get Sarah started, that was 7 years ago and she is still here. Although a qualified groomer Brigitte prefers her rolls of bathing and blow drying as well as answering the phone and greeting clients.
